Meet Our Team

Gareth Walter (MBACP Snr.Accred, MSC, ILM7, HSC5)
Director of Everest Counselling Services, Senior BACP Accredited Therapist, Clinical Supervisor, Mental Health Trainer
My career in mental health started at the age of 21, when I became a mental health support worker within a rehabilitation service. I had a real passion for helping others and big ambitions to progress, so I worked my way up the ladder to Management. I ran a supported living service and then a specialist mental health residential rehabilitation unit. Throughout this time, I gained multiple qualifications such as;
- Health and Social Management Level 5
- ILM Business and Leadership Level 7
- Master’s of Science in Mental Health
- TQUK Level 3 in training.
I qualified as a Therapist over 5 years ago and have been very fortunate to support a vast array of individuals through their therapy journey. I have also completed many therapy journeys personally, working through various life obstacles that I have faced. I am very passionate about providing a safe and secure service to all individuals. I feel that Counselling is one of my true callings in life, and I am proud to be sharing the provision of such a meaningful practice with the wider community!
Lauren Webb
Director & Assessment Manager
My Career to date has largely been within Health & Social Care, particularly; Recruitment Management, Employment Support and Coordination of support services for Children and families with complex disabilities. I also dedicated a number of years volunteering my time helping others; as a listening volunteer providing emotional support, as a mentor for a young person dealing with trauma, as an overnight host for the homeless, and working with children and young adults with disabilities. I strongly believe that happiness can be found in the service to others!
I have engaged in counselling myself, following an acute and life altering illness. It gifted me the space and time to explore and come to terms with my own trauma, as well as an opportunity to get to know myself better. I am now a big advocate for Counselling and believe that it can be a real life line for so many. My hope for Everest Counselling Services is that we become a far reaching, and fully inclusive life line for all those who need us. In doing so, we can make an equally great impact on the community with our charitable endeavours, that will be sustained by our continued success.
